ABOUT PLATE FETE

Plate Fete was once a food blog. It began in the fall of 2012 when I, Ashlyn Bowden, graduated highschool and wanted to jump headfirst into the world of food and journalism.

Fast forward nine years, a husband, a fur baby, and the first of my two precious baby girls.

In 2021, I felt an itch to connect with my community in a more personal way. After a year+ of lockdowns, the inter-web no longer held the most appeal to me. That said, after nine years of recipe development, I was all the more passionate about the food I was making in my tiny galley kitchen.

So Plate Fete metamorphosed from food blog to pop-up bakery to brick and mortar.

That said, many of my cherished readers still come back to this spot for its original recipes. They remain available if you fancy taking a look or taste of my roots.

Outside the home bakery, you can find my treats around Williamsburg, Virginia at some of my favorite haunts - Williamsburg Farmer’s Market, Anonymous Coffee, Sweethaven Lavender, and Axe Republic. If you are looking for more information on those locations or events, please see my Facebook or Instagram pages.

Thank you for being here.
