Happy Friday! It has been a week!! Mostly, I have been hiding from the heat and trying to figure out what day it is.

Wedding season is upon us and the 12 pounds of butter in my fridge are proof. Weddings call for wedding cakes and somehow yours truly, who once said she would never ever make a wedding cake again, is churning out cakes and bakes like it ain’t no thing. And, what’s more, I’m enjoying it. Just another reminder to myself to shy away from emphatic statements.
Have you seen the new Aladdin? We have not gone yet but I am OBSESSED with this performance of A Whole New World. It’s my new Shallow.
Target’s current Anthropologie-esc line of rainforest-reminiscent homewares is giving me all the feels right now and I am crushing hard on this elephant basket. Do I need it? No. Am I going to buy it? Most likely. I’m just waiting for the right moment of weakness.
I love this idea for testing your grill for hot spots.
I am so excited about the recipes I have coming to you over the next few weeks! Summer food makes me so happy.
